"Freezing phenomena" called ice needles: Come and see at Kuri's stalactite cave, Naima Cave, on the 22nd.

On the 22nd, an ice spear viewing event will be held at the Imaoki Cave, a natural monument designated by Iwate Prefecture in Yamagata-cho, Kururi City. Visitors can enjoy this seasonal phenomenon, where water droplets that fall from the cave's ceiling freeze and form ice spears.
About 200 ice stalactites are arranged near the cave entrance, glowing fantastically under the light. Compared to last year, they are generally larger, with some exceeding 2 meters in height. It seems the temperature and water conditions were appropriate.
For students aged elementary school and above, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Free admission. For inquiries, please contact the center (0194-72-3711).
